times life-size, this unbreakable vinyl plastic replica is
packed with useful teaching features. On the exterior of the
eyeball is the cornea, through which the iris and pupil are
visible, the large lacrimal (tear) gland, attachments for all
six muscles that move the eyeball, the optic nerve, and
surrounding blood vessels. The eyeball divides in half to study
the interior. The iris/cornea can be removed as can the
functional Lucite lens, which magnifies and forms inverted
images. The transparent vitreous body exposes the choroid coat
and retina. Rods, cones, and other retinal microstructures are
detailed in a highly magnified diagrammatic cross section. 42

ordinary ear models — and demonstrates equilibrium with
liquid-filled canals. 5 times life-size, this unbreakable
polymer reproduction depicts the human organ of hearing and
balance. Sagittally sectioned along the length of the auditory
canal and Eustachian tube, it is easy to trace the path of sound
waves entering the ear, and it becomes clear how pressure is
equalized on both sides of the eardrum. The entire middle ear
chamber and the labyrinth is exposed to view. The malleus
(hammer) and incus (anvil), and the attached see-through
tympanic membrane lift out, as well as the entire labyrinth
unit, for hands-on study. Two of the three semicircular canals
are made of transparent tubing filled with colored fluid
representing the endolymph. An air bubble in each will shift
position when tilted, demonstrating the function of the canals
in maintaining equilibrium. A spiral cutaway of the cochlea
shows its three canals in contrasting colors to teach the
concept of pitch. 36 hand-numbered features are identified in
the accompanying key. Overall dimensions: 16x11x7 inches

This excretory organs model gives
your students complete access - from the front, back, right, and
left. Typically "models" of the urinary system are in reality
nothing more than 2-dimensional relief plaques which offer no
encouragement towards hands-on investiagion and present only
half of the picture. But this larger-than-life replica is
free-standing, fully three-dimensional, and totally approachable
from all sides. Your students really can, and will get their
hands on it.
Both kidneys, with their piggy back adrenal glands, major blood
vessels, ureters, and the upper half of the bladder - opened to
reveal its interior - are included. Blood vessels are
color-coded, red for arteries, blue for veins. One kidney has
been sectioned open along its full length to exhibit its network
of filtration and collection tubules.
Ureters are made of flexible transparent plastic tubing. 41
major features are numbered on the model for identification in
the accompanying printed key.

pulmonary arteries and veins. The heart itself splits in halves
to show its four chambers and valves, thus providing
understanding of the directional blood flow there. Pulmonary
circulation can also be easily traced, and with major vessels of
the systemic circulation depicted, blood flow through the entire
body can be demonstrated. 58 numbered structures are identified

The
Thin Man Sequential Human Anatomy Figure Detailing human anatomy
in a way no chart or torso can duplicate, the Thin Man is a near
life-size full-color rendition of the human body which by means
of a sequence of transparent mylar overlays, allows the peeling
away of layer after layer of tissue, progressing ever more
deeply into the body. This provides extremely valuable insight
into the 3-dimensional spatial relationships of principal
structures, major vessels and organ systems. Displayed on the
backside of the Thin Man is a full-figure view of the skeletal
and nervous systems. Highlighted at each level of the sequential
“dissection ” are the following features:

Musculature of the head, neck, thorax and abdomen, (superficial
